Accountability

David killed Donovan's family. That's where he was. And it wasn't just killing. It was torture and brutal murder. The disturbing thing is, this isn't surprising. This is who David is. He was a friend, but that doesn't make him nice. And this could have been avoided all of it. But it wasn't. Because The Mad Ventriloquist was afraid. Because it's easier to run from problems than fight them.

This is my fault. I know it. And it's made me realize something. I can't keep distancing myself.

I thought that if I talked in third person, it would confuse the slender man. He wouldn't know who I was, and so wouldn't come after me. But there was another reason too. If I wasn't me, I could pretend my actions didn't effect anybody. But they do.

Like Donovan. And I can't help if I act as if I'm not really here. And people will still get hurt because of me. So from now on I am taking responsibility for my actions.

Starting with David.

  1. All the luck and the hope in my heart are going to you right now, TMV. I wish you well, and if you ever need anything... well, you know where I am.

  2. It's easy to run from your problems when you think you're the only one who will bear the brunt of responsibility for your mistakes. No one blames you for anything. The important thing is, you stop running. A war was never won by running away. There are a lot of people who will support you no matter what you decide to do. The more of us who stand together, the better we can protect one another.

  3. This should prove interesting. Sure you can handle the weight, Venny? The truth can be so crushing...

@Mystery: "A war is never won by running away" Ha. You're almost cute. I'm sorry, when did this become a war? A 'war' implies both sides stand a chance of winning. You idiots can only die. Our Father cannot. WE can die, sure, but we're just as much tools as you are. Does that really amount to a 'win' on your part? Not even slightly.

You want to live? Run or Serve. Fighting only leads to a quicker death... though, I'll be the first to admit, it makes things FAR more amusing for all involved.

  5. Newton's Third Law of Motion. It applies to the situation rather well.

  6. Oh shut up. You really want to say that Running or Serving are the only options? Apparently you didn't run fast enough. You're wrong, by the way. Stop antagonizing good people and try figuring how the fuck to get out of your position. You know, instead of making other people's lives harder.

  7. @Dia If you're speaking to me, you may want to say so. Wouldn't want poor Venny here to think you're flipping out on HIM, now would we? You don't know the first thing about me, so stop assuming. In any case, why would I want out? You're the ones that are getting slaughtered. Personally, I've never been better. I wonder if you could use those same words for your situation and not taste the lie on your tongue?

  8. "Poor Venny" knows when I'm talking to him. This isn't the only mode for conversation, and I normally say his name when I'm speaking directly to him. There are no lies. I'm in my own situation by choice, though you... well, I'll just leave that one up in the air.

You're a fool. You think we're the ones getting slaughtered, but you're only cannon fodder in the end. I haven't had a Proxy rub me the wrong way this badly in... a long time. Damn. Congratulations on that minor achievement.

  9. @Dia Still. It's only good manners to address someone you're lashing at. We are all fools, poetic one. Some just more so than others. And thank you. Glad to make an impression.

@Venny: Sorry for clogging up your blog. Dia here is so very touchy.

  10. It was directly below your now removed comment, as well as the fact that I had already spoken to TMV. The impression in this case is rather unfortunate.

You are a very rude little person. Speak to me through another venue rather than 'clogging up' TMV's blog, or just stop in general. You lack manners.

  11. Ventrilloquist, Ronan if you prefer, don't go dying.

  12. At those wishing luck- Thank you. I don't intend on dying. At least, probably not.

At Mystery- Thank you. He tries. I try. It's hard sometimes, but the support does help.

At Nightscream- Everyone dies. Some people just prefer for the death to mean something. To look back and go 'oh hey, that was awesome.' Like Minori. She's gone now because she did the right thing. I doubt she regrets it. I hope I don't.

But my shoulders bear a lot. And I have lots of beer.

At Dia- some people can't be saved. Some people don't wish to be.

  13. I know, unfortunately. I wish they did.

  14. Well, nightscream, if you break enough tools the mechanic will have nothing left to work with. I just wish your kind carried more cash, breaking His tools doesn't pay well.

  15. You didn't exactly take responsibility for him. Who can blame you, though? You were in love. And he was such a very bad man, like a tiger without a leash.
